Tips From Experts In Minelab Pro-Swing 45 Harness For Garden Metal Detector

Picked up the Minelab Pro-Swing 45 Harness for Garden Metal Detector for my son so that he could start joining the old man on his weekend excursions to local battlefields to try and find Civil War relics and I have to say that I am impressed! I originally got into metal detecting because of my dad and boy do I wish I'd had one of these when I was a kid. Honestly, I would have been happy with a metal detector that my son could hold and follow along with me even if it didn't actually detect, something more like a toy. But the MinelabPro-Swing 45 Harness for Garden Metal Detector is far from a toy, in fact, aside from being scaled down to a child's size it works as a professional metal detector in every other way!

When we first got it we decided to give it a spin in the backyard with a few simple objects, while my son was inside I threw some coins, jacks, aluminum badges and even some BBS around to see how long it would take him to find them. I showed him how the thing worked and he was off to the races in no time for such a little machine it does a great job of detecting and the signal strength is easy to read thanks to a large visual panel with a needle and an accompanying volume signal that rises and falls depending how close you are to your target. I thought my son might be out there for a while trying to find all of the objects but he was able to find every single one in about twenty minutes! Impressed, I decided to take things a step further and really see how powerful the Minelab Pro-Swing 45 Harness for Garden Metal Detector really was As this time we were merely testing out the strength my son helped me bury the different metal objects we had, not too deep but enough that they were no longer visible to the naked eye. We pulled out the detector and I'll be darned if it wasn't powerful enough to find every single item! It's at this point that I noticed that the metal detector also has a trash dial. For those new to the metal detecting world the trash dial allows you to basically cancel out certain metals. For example, if you're looking for iron and you don't want every aluminum can or any other type of little to set your detector off buzzing you dial in the signal for aluminum and the detector knows not to count it when detecting. This is something pretty advanced so I was really surprised to see it on a Pro-Swing 45 Harness for Garden model. We dialed in different metals as trash and it did a great job of skipping over them and letting us focus on the items we actually wanted to find.

After this trial run we took it out in the field and far from simply following along next to dad my son has made a good number of discoveries of his own thanks to his little detector. It takes two 9-volt batteries and they last for a pretty long time, certainly long enough for a day’s excursion and since we've got the rechargeable kind we just plug them in when we come back home so that they're ready to go next time around. My boy already manages it like a pro and the fact that he has his own adjustable dials lets him understand what I'm doing when I set my own machine. The detector itself is made from a high quality but light weight metal, it has a good heft to it without being overly heavy and is easy for my son to sweep back and forth along the ground. My son is 8 years old and the height and weight are perfect for him, at first I thought he might get tired of carrying it around but it seems like the design is very comfortable for him. Also, thanks to adjustable height

I'm looking forward to him growing with it for a good number of years before stepping up to a more advanced detector, luckily thanks to the fact that the Minelab Pro-Swing 45 Harness for Garden Metal Detector is already pretty advanced on its own he should have no problem making the transition. To my mind there's no better introductory metal detector on the market and seeing the joy that it brings my boy lets me know that I made the right purchase. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Metal detectors - from dreams to practice

Treasure hunting - the dream of many some small children, that was turned into a hobby or even a means of income for some people. We have all seen stories. We have all seen stories on the news and in journals. That one person in Florida that found a chest of Spanish doubloons, dating back to the Conquistadors. That other person in Stafford shire that managed to dig out the, what's now known as the Stafford shire Hoard, containing some 3,500 pieces of gold, silver, and garnet. And while most people have a silly image of people with wooden forks and spades, going around beaches and playing scavenger hunt, these stories almost come as a dish of sweet revenge, best served cold. But what makes this dream of treasure hunting a reality? Or more precisely, how do you get started up? It might seem fairly obvious, but first and foremost, you will need a metal detector. Yes, you read this correctly: the long mentally thing, which you 'scan' the ground with. Then when you stum...
